EIGHTH DAY or time of JUDGMENT
Written as a twofold purposed Booklet, with many Scriptural passages to look at, extensive material produced for educational
purposes by the editor of TCOGMSO, using the NKJ throughout, unless otherwise noted!
What is the EIGHTH DAY festival in the scheme of Gods overall plan for mankind and why is it called this in Scripture?
The majority of the COG will understand this same period of time has been known to many in the COG for decades as the “last great day” coming right after the festival of tabernacles. However, is this Biblically a correct term and does it point to the eighth day mentioned in Scripture as the last annual festival of one yearly cycle? Hopefully the answer to this will become clear through the study of this booklet. It will also become more clear where the COG came up with this, in the course of this booklet, when the verse this has come from is examined in comparison to the plan of God and what the original text reveals.
WHY is it so important to pay very close attention to the Word of God and what it really has to say, in the many and varying contexts? Christ said that we are to live by every WORD of God—and if so, it makes perfect sense that we should study every word, right? We should also keep in mind the context around the words we are studying into, as well as other related passages to the subjects. Please read on and evaluate this Booklet, with its twofold purpose, as the information compares to your own Bible and possibly what you may or may not have understood in the past.
What is the “EIGHTH DAY” in Scripture time wise and is it a time of judgment; AND does God only have a 7,000 year plan for all of mankind, as many claim, to finish His purpose? Hopefully you will see that these two subjects do tie together, as you go through this booklet.
You would think that everyone who claims to be “Christian” today would want to know, obey and follow the example of Jesus Christ, believing the word of God! That is the thought in most people’s mind about what a real Christian is and does—however; very few really pay any attention to what the Bible actually says and reveals on so many things! We humans are susceptible to error even without willful disobedience but need to be begotten by the Holy Spirit to understand the workings of God and His plan. (See article “Born Again---when?” or listen to the audio titled “Begotten or born again” for more on that subject) The majority of “Christendom” can read in the Bible where it shows that Christ and the apostles all kept the seventh day Sabbath and other Festivals of God found in the Bible—but DO they follow what they read or even understand it? (Another audio that may be of interest is titled “Lord of the Sabbath”, for more on this subject) Very few really believe and follow the word of God by keeping the seventh day Sabbath or these other commanded Holy days, so they fail to see the significance of what they picture! Even the Jews of Christ’s day did not understand the complete plan of God nor the aspect of the eighth day.
Yes this is true— think about it—the majority of what is believed to be Christianity today, keep Sunday which is the first day of the week and they observe many other pagan festivals throughout the year that are not found in the Bible. Most are deceived and do not even know about the true Festivals of God—and if they do hear of them, they ask their local Sunday minister who then says those days are all done away for the “Christian” of today. But it is so easy to look at and determine which day on the calendar is the seventh day—even the Jews have held on to this knowledge, but very few truly worship God on that day, including many of the Jews. This is the Biblical 4th commandment—(Which is also done away or changed, if you ask that same minister who thinks the Law and Holy Days are done away) therefore they do not accept the truth of these subjects, even though it is clear and right there in the Bible! We will all be judged by what we do and this booklet is focused on the subject of the EIGHTH Day and Judgment PLUS the timing for it.
How about you my friends—how willing are you to accept the truth when you hear it or read it and can easily verify it by Scripture within just a few minutes? Did you know that Christ Himself said what would happen to those who rejected Biblical truth? Luke 10:16 "He who hears you (disciples & true Christian preachers of truth today) hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."
Now, let us turn to and read one more set of Scriptures on this subject before moving on; John 12:47-50 "And if anyone hears My words (See also Heb.1:1-2) and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. 49 "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 "And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak." (That indicates to me that whatever it is that is written and revealed in the whole Word of God, that people will be judged by.)
So what we are looking and studying into in this booklet is the Word of GOD, Old & New Testament, in order to understand about the Day or time of Judgment, when it is and where it is in the scheme of time and God’s plan. So what we have just read should help us realize that we need to be careful how we use the words of the Bible. I encourage you to get your Bible and look up the Scriptures and see for yourself what it says, when reading any of the written materials or listening to the audio on this www.tcogmso.com internet site! Sometimes things get overlooked and wrong things get stated and have to be corrected. All human beings are subject to error at times and this author is no different than anyone else on that—but the COG grows as it goes forward with Spiritual guidance and understanding—or at least should be. Every true Christian should be growing and overcoming/correcting his/her own errors when found. (2Pet.3:18) One sure sign of the true COG is that it will correct its mistakes, whatever they are, when they are found, unless too lukewarm and liberal to do so!
We are going to cover in this booklet an example of where many people may have been carelessly mistaken about what they state concerning GOD’S PLAN and the potential time frame given in Scripture for it. Many, even in the COG today, will readily direct you to the Holy Days listed in Lev.23 for God’s plan, start to finish! If they are a legitimate COG group and are honest with Scripture—most of what they say will be right about the meaning of those days. However, what many state may actually have some error about the entire time frame of God’s great plan for mankind! Even in what the ministry is assuming and teaching—or openly writing about?—you might have just asked. Yes that is right—even in the COG some are carelessly or perhaps ignorantly mixing a whole lot of truth about the Holy Day plan with a little bit of error on the subject of God’s overall plan for all mankind to receive salvation, as it relates to this EIGHTH DAY!
7,000 YEAR PLAN. Really?
I want to begin by giving some quotes from various websites about the TIME FRAME of the plan of God and what many are saying about that. Many have stated that God’s plan is a 7,000 year plan—some even stating that God will bring all mankind to salvation in that time frame, so let us study this out, because it has everything to do with the “EIGHTH DAY” or time of judgment being excluded. Below are several quotes that are used only as a point of reference for us to think about on this subject, not as judgment or condemnation of anyone who has said or written these things today or in the past.
From the website “hebroots,com” comes this statement;
“God has a 7,000 (year) plan of redeeming man and the earth back to God. The Messiah (Yeshua/Jesus) was seen as the central figure in accomplishing the redemption.” (Later on this is found) The 6,000 years were divided into three 2,000 year periods as follows: (Then it lists approx. 2000 years each period- Adam to Noah- Abraham to Christ- apostolic era to return of Christ, but is this correct and found in the Bible?)
From website “bible-codes.org” “In the same way, for instance, the picture bible code of "lightning" that starts from the very first letter of the bible that gives the 7000-year plan of salvation”,----- so here again is a statement giving a 7,000 year plan for the salvation of man, unlike the previous which says that time is for “redeeming” man.
From the web site www.cogwriter.com comes this older article titled, Did the Jews Teach a 7000 Year Plan? “Throughout history some of those professing the Jewish or Christian religions taught and believed that God has a 7000 year plan.---- Essentially, it was believed that since ---a day is like a thousand years to God (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8), God recreated the earth in six days (Genesis 1:3-31), and rested on the seventh (Genesis 2:1-2), that God had a 7,000 year plan.”
The individual who wrote this article stated in a separate message to this author/editor; “The plan (meaning God’s plan) is 6000 (Years) for humans to rule, followed by a 1000 year millennium. That is what WCG used to teach and LCG still teaches.” We will find this verified by quotes from the LCG website later—indicating they also believe in and state that they teach a 7,000 year plan.
(Keep in mind that some of these statements may have changed, been dropped or altered since this study material was originally put together several years ago and these quotes were taken. The last person quoted from above has since become the leader of another COG group—splitting away from LCG. Please be advised; this particular booklet & study material you are reading was used under a different title on an older website and is only now being reviewed and edited for this booklet, to use on this present TCOGMSO website. Reason being; simply because some of these misunderstood things still linger or keep coming up in the minds of some, and as more brethren are being called, they inevitable learn of these old teachings.)
Here is a quote from another Internet site; Author: Frank W. Nelte— Date: February 2000 (Speaking of the festivals of God or the days of creation—maybe both)-- “Amongst other things they must surely represent the 7000 YEARS of God's plan for mankind.” -- Here is yet another man that claims God’s plan is a 7,000 year plan—and there are many, many more of these statements on the internet.
Now what about COG organizations or various leading individuals in the COG organizations today? (some of those were noted above with the others) Let us be fair about this in our evaluation. Have more leaders/organizations in the COG also stated similar things about the plan of God and a time frame for it? Well yes they have and this first quote comes from a booklet about salvation and produced with the copyright date of Dec.1999; “Why are the multitudes of the earth not being called now? The answer is that God is working out His plan in dealing with humanity over a 7,000-year period. For the first 6,000 years, God is allowing humanity to experiment with various forms of religion, education, government and culture.”
The same leader and author/writer also states this, 9 years later in a 2008 article; “many Bible scholars agree that we are very close to the end of 6000 years of recorded human history. The God of the Bible clearly indicates that He has in mind a 7000 year plan.” These quotes were taken from material found at the LCOG website. (LCG)
This next quote comes from the RCOG website; (RCG) “The vast majority of the people in the world today have never heard about the Plan of God. God has put into place a 7,000-year Master Plan, which began at the re-creation of the earth, almost 6,000 years ago. This plan is pictured in type by the seven-day week.” (So here again, we see the eighth day being left out.)
Some COG sites and independent groups did not have search engines for their site literature, so I was not able to access them without literally reading through their material to find this. But of the ones who did—these quotes were retrieved by just typing in “7000 year plan-or 7,000 year plan of God” to their search box. (I typed this later exact same thing into the search box on one of UCG’s web sites and found this; “In this “7,000-year plan,” each day of the week is understood to”--- and there were other statements; here is another from a UCG commentary. “Indeed, the seven-day week is thought by many to represent 7,000 years in God's plan for mankind (each day representing a thousand years, compare 2 Peter 3:8—)
This next quote comes from the COGG site or (CGG—Church of the Great God) and is from an older magazine Bible study article from 1996, titled “GOD’S MASTER PLAN”. It says; “Hebrews 4 shows a connection between God's rest on the Sabbath day during the creation week and the thousand-year reign of Christ, commonly called the "Millennium." It is logical to conclude that the other six days of Creation typify 6,000 years of man's government on earth. Thus, God has a 7,000-year plan to bring humanity into His Family, and we find ourselves near the end of man's allotted 6,000 years!”
These quotes and statements from COG groups all stem from what was taught for many years in the WCG organization under HWA. Here is a couple of quotes from HWA and his last book, © 1985, titled Mystery of the Ages, Pg.122, showing his own statement about this just shortly before he died; “God thereupon, at the very foundation of this world, laid out a 7,000-year master plan for accomplishing His purpose.” Dropping down on the page we find this stated again; “But God says, “My purpose shall stand.” God’s 7,000-year plan will accomplish God’s purpose in overwhelming and magnificent glory.”
(Let me also state that by this method, I did check but did not find anything that compared to any of these statements on COGWA’s member site or their http://lifehopeandtruth.com/ site, which does not necessarily mean it is not there in some way—but was not found with the search. So this is the end of these quotes)
So now let us think about what these quotes have obviously revealed, for just a moment and then we will get into the review of some more Scripture. The majority of what has been quoted above is from the Biblical perspective except for the Eighth day or time of judgment, as we will see. Going back to what I said in the beginning, where is the error in these statements and how are they innocently and in ignorance mixing truth with error? Remember, I said this was perhaps done carelessly or in ignorance—but maybe a better word for this—dealing with some today—is negligence—negligence to research thoroughly and then tell all of the facts that we find about what the Holy Days in Scripture reveals for the time frame of what God is doing through humanity, bringing them all to a chance at salvation. This may come as a shock to you and is not meant as an offense to any—(some of you probably already know where I am going with this—if you really study your Bibles) but God’s plan is not and cannot be limited to a 7,000 year span of time! This idea is not really supported by Scripture and never has been, but has only been assumed! Should we be saying this over and over if it in reality is not true? As I said, the true COG grows as it goes forward and accepts proven truth or new understanding—we are all still learning and should be willing to correct errors when we see them and hold fast to the truth that we are relatively sure is taught or indicated from Scripture. What the “eighth day” festival pictures is the Day of Judgment which comes after the seven thousand years are finished.
(One leading editor, under authority of his minister and was also an elder in the ministry of the old WCG, now in another COG group told me this; “even if you are right about this, why would we want to change what we (COG) have taught for decades” and this was concerning another point of proven truth from Scripture, that I had brought to their attention. There was another witness to this and to my knowledge, the man never did nor the group he is with, change their position on that particular subject in question. That is not the right approach for any true Christians in the true COG to have, as the true COG corrects its mistakes and accepts revealed truth when verified.)
Most of those that I quoted from know that the plan of God goes on past 7,000 years— because they teach about the judgment period pictured by the eighth day—however never putting it in context of more time than just 7000 years. They even unknowingly contradict themselves in their teachings and writings about this—when they make these statements about a 7,000 year plan when there is obviously time to come afterwards for judgment! Is this just a “technical” thing and is unimportant or is it truth in reality that should be acknowledged? When you think about it, it is simply a point of what is true and what is not. So now let us go to Scripture and prove this out—again get your Bibles and look this up—if you want to know the truth! We are going to focus on the DAY OF THE WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT now and that time frame in the overall plan of God! Open your Bibles and let us first look at Lev 23:2-4 (Again, I am using the NKJ) V.2 "Speak to the children of Israel, (God says to Moses) and say to them: 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. 3 'Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. (This is listed here first because it is not only the weekly Sabbath of the Lord—but is actually a weekly reminder of the coming kingdom of God, as we will see later) 4 'These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times.” (And of course these “appointed” times are according to the Hebrew calendar that God gave to Moses for Israel, as well as the COG to know when, in a paganized world, to keep these Holy Days.)
You can read on through this chapter on your own about all these Holy Days and when you do, it becomes fairly clear that the COG has for decades rightly taught they are steps in a plan to redeem all mankind back to God—for all mankind to receive their chance at salvation—not just some or maybe even half. We must stay focused on the whole plan of God dealing with mankind, however, so let’s skip ahead to the conclusion of the Holy Day cycle, which starts with Passover. We find that there are four Holy days in the seventh month that concludes the Holy Day cycle for the year. (See the Parallels-calendar article for more about this and the 19 year time cycles.) These concluding days are given in the last part of the chapter. (Lev.23) Something we find in the last of verse 39, however, is often ignored or overlooked, even left out as a part of the overall plan of God, when we state that it is a 7,000 year plan. (Actually V.36 mentions this “eighth” day as well but the details about it here are very little. One has to come to understand however, that this is said right after the giving of a seven day festival which does not contain an eighth day. Even in Numbers 29:35, it is clearly a separate festival, but with very few details, so let us continue.)
We can quickly see an 8th day cannot be part of a seven day festival and the Feast of Tabernacles is only a seven day festival, as just mentioned within the verses given above and as other Scriptures make clear, so what is this talking about? Actually this is the source of error when people say that God’s “master plan” is a 7,000 year plan. Even those who liken it to the seven days of creation week are wrong in forgetting to add this time to the overall plan of God. The seven day feast of Tabernacles rightly portrays the peaceful world of tomorrow or what the COG has rightly called the time of the millennium, but the plan of God does not end there, as they all teach! The weekly Sabbath or seventh day rest also points to the 7,000th year or “day of rest” to God, which is the sixth annual festival and not the seventh. There is one more to come after this! Turn with me to the last book of the Bible and to chapter 20; Here we read, beginning Rev. 20:1 “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; (This is the time frame for the 1,000 years of peace or the millennium. Be sure and read the entire passage from your bible.)
V.3 continues on and ends with “he (devil) must be released for a little while.” (WHY?) V.4 ends with this; “they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Now V.5 shows “the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (Now notice) V.7 Now when the thousand years have expired, (this “Sabbath rest”—seventh day—1,000 years, is now finished) Satan will be released from his prison.” (Again, WHY, since he was already bound a thousand years earlier?)
Let us think about this now; by comparing what we have just read and what we have seen recorded in Leviticus. Considering the seventh month and on the first day—which is the feast of Trumpets, typifying the return of Christ in the very tail end of 6,000 years—we see Christ intervening, the resurrection of the saints, then the binding of Satan typified by the day of Atonement. We come to the symbolism of the establishment of the kingdom of God by Jesus at the last trumpet, (Rev.11:15) and that will last for a thousand years, typified by the Feast of Tabernacles. Now when this is over, Satan is released and then after a very short time, he is put away once and for all. That “little season or short time” will actually bring the 7,000 years to a completion! Remember that Christ said God would cut short the time right in the end of Satan’s sixth day (Matt.24:22) in order to save mankind from complete annihilation. (Mala.4:6 and the intended meaning)
(Technically, Satan is given that short time back as a “little season” (KJV)—what was cut short of his full 6,000 years to rule over man—after the millennial rest is over—but let us back up in time, from this event.)
Those humans saved who come out of the tribulation will live the rest of their physical lives out in the kingdom. They will bring forth more children to grow up in peace and in the way of God, eventually being born into the family of God. (Isa.60:21-22 & 65:17-25) These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, recorded in Rev.7:9-17. These passages in Isaiah that I just mentioned, plus others, reveal these are physical humans who have not been made Spirit yet—which brings to mind yet another error that some teach, saying these are also made Spirit at Christ’s return, also being first fruits! Think about it—If that was true and they WERE made spirit—possibly being the only ones left alive on earth at that time, then cutting short the days would have no purpose; there would be no one left as physical humans to live through the 1,000 years and repopulate the nations—something we all need to consider and that we may not be reading the Scriptures carefully enough and studying, by using every word and its intended meaning.
THE EIGHTH DAY
Where does this fit into our subject of the overall plan of God, when people state that it is a 7,000 year plan? Does ALL mankind receive salvation within these first 7,000 years? When 7,000 years are past we will not have covered the purpose for the 8th day mentioned in Lev.23:39 in the plan of God! Why is this called the Last great day by many and where did that term come from? Let us quickly see this before moving on. In John 7:37, HWA determined this to be speaking of the 8th day and thus termed it as the “Last Great Day” and applied it to the last festival of the yearly cycle, even though he stated many times God has a 7,000 year plan. However he was basing that on the wording of the KJV, so let us look at that for just a moment from different sources. John 7:37 (KJV) “In the last day, that great day of the feast,--- John 7:37 (NKJ) “On the last day, that great day of the feast,--- note this second word “Day” is in italics in most bibles; here is what is said of it and is recognized by most if not all scholars. NT:9999 is used for added words. “NOTE: inserted word (x); This word (day) was added by the translators for better readability in the English. There is no actual word in the Greek text. The word may be displayed in italics, or in parentheses (as in the ASV) or other brackets, to indicate that it is not in the original text.” (From Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
So without this added word, one can see the subject is most likely a multi-day festival that has a last day, which would be the feast of tabernacles. Note it in the NIV translation; John 7:37 “On the last and greatest day of the Feast,---(from New International Version) This would not include the Eighth day which is another separate festival, so it is likely that HWA and many others applied this, without thorough research, to the wrong day. That however does not change the fact that the eighth day IS THE LAST DAY OF THE FESTIVAL CYCLE for one year, so it can still rightly be called the last great day for that reason and what it signifies for perhaps billions of humans.
The vast majority of all mankind to be born will have never heard of or at least not known the true God and Jesus Christ of the Bible—(false Christianity worship another Jesus)—never yet receiving an opportunity for salvation! Now what about that time frame in the scheme of things—what happens then and again, what is it called? Let us simplify this as much as possible, counting from 1-to-10, what comes after seven? So simple—and if those days are figured as God figures time-(2Pet.3:8)-it is in the 8th millennial day or time frame which comes immediately after the 7th is finished; unless man ceases to exist and time stops at seven, right? Is it still in the seventh day even after it is over? NO, it is after the seventh day is finished, according to everything Scripture indicates and therefore would have to be THE 8TH DAY, if time goes on as it is recognized in the Bible, which it HAS TO for the great white throne judgment! (Rev.20:11) We read in Lev.23:39 this festival is called the 8th day and that may be for two reasons. Let us consider; the most obvious and #1 is the context it is found in; Lev.23:34-39. It is the eighth day in the count from the 15th or first day of tabernacles, which is the context. #2 however, as we have been seeing; it comes right after the Feast of Tabernacles, symbolically picturing the 1000 years and the 7th millennial day is finished—so this is in an 8th millennial day or time frame, no matter how you look at it! Most of these COG leaders know that and that this time frame is beyond the 7,000 years symbolically—if we pay any attention to Scripture, but many seem to forget that when they state that God’s plan as a 7,000 year plan! This is in error according to what is revealed in Scripture! As an example, Ezekiel 37 reveals that in this time frame; basically the kingdoms of ancient Israel and Judah will be resurrected back to physical life and again be placed in the land that was given to Jacob. This however does not leave out the “rest of the dead” and is not anywhere during the 1,000 years reign of the first fruits, who were made Spirit at the return of Christ. Scripture says “But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.” Satan was bound at the beginning, then released at the end of the 1,000 years and then quickly put away forever, finishing the entire 7,000 years.
So when are the dead raised up to be judged?—it has to be in the beginning of the 8th day from creation of man, as God counts time, given in Scripture! The 7,000 years are over, as we have already seen and so this is in the 8th day or during the 8 thousandth year of physical man on earth! That is part of the reason it is called the eighth day and is a separate Festival—pointing to a different time frame—It comes after the 7,000 years are finished and is an 8th day! Now what all is going to happen in the time frame of the 8,000 years? Well we don’t really know for sure, other than what little Scripture reveals, but notice this in Rev.20:11-12 “Then I saw a great white throne --- V.12 And I saw the dead, small and great,-- (Now this has to be the “rest of the dead”, so this is after 7,000 years have elapsed and Satan is finally out of the way for good. It is in the 8th day when) “books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works”, —now note this from Isa 65:19-20; “And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people; and there shall be heard in her no more the voice of weeping and the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days; for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.” (ASV) When does this begin? Most in the COG have attributed this time frame to the Great white throne judgment as to be only a period of one hundred years, but it seems to me it could also apply Jerusalem in the 1,000 year time of peace on earth, before judgment has begun, but it is just not that clear.
How much do we in the COG REALLY know about this time frame?—not very much, in all honesty—because no one has given much thought into exploring into it and there are very few details! However, it should be clear that in no way does God’s plan for mankind complete itself in 7,000 years, and that is the point! The “EIGHTH Day or judgment period” does not come in the first 7,000 years at all, not even in the very last part, rely on what these Scriptures reveal! So these humans not yet judged will be judged by the books of the Bible –the word of God—just like the called and chosen ones are today. (1 Pet.4:17) Remember what Christ said back in Matt 5:19-20? Let us read that at this point; V.19 "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Anyone who has been found in this position, of teaching against the keeping of the commandments of God, even in ignorance as being deceived; from Christ’s day all the way down into our day will not be in the first resurrection. They will come up in the eighth day to have their Judgment and have to repent or else go into the lake of fire. Repenting now in this life makes far more sense and will give one the opportunity for the first resurrection after being called and chosen. (See the article on REPENTANCE) That is why Christ says they are least in the kingdom—because they come in last as far as we know and during the 8th day or judgment day period—if and when they repent. The Bride of Christ—first fruits—are first of this age and after Christ, then all those who come into the family or the kingdom of God during the 1000 years under the rule of Christ and His bride—then we have those who are resurrected back to physical life in the 8th day or the DAY OF JUDGMENT, after 7,000 years have elapsed. They have never known God or Christ truthfully—not ever being called and will all be in this second resurrection, given their chance at life without further Satanic influence!
We read in 1 Cor. 15:54, the last part, which says "Death is swallowed up in victory." V.55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" What is that referring to and when? Go back to Rev 20:13-15 “The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” This is after all have been judged in this 8th day. The possibility of there being at least three segments of time for judgment in the 8th day, as was mentioned earlier—which is based on speculation—as we only find a little bit of detail in Scripture that this may be considered as a possibility; it cannot refute what we have already seen by so many passages of Scripture.
So my friends, let us review; it should be obvious that it is in error to say and teach that the plan of God is only a 7,000 year plan! It goes beyond that and is human error and may very well be done without really thinking about how it contradicts Scripture, dealing with the judgment of all mankind who have or ever will live, for the purpose of becoming God beings. Never-the-less we need to overcome this mindset we may have accepted and explain it like it is, as the true COG should do. The DAY OF JUDGMENT or EIGHTH DAY—when so much of mankind will have their chance at salvation—is after 7,000 years are finished and would have to be considered in the 8th Day! They will live their lives over again as physical humans, while being judged. They have already lived under the time and influence of Satan the devil and will now experience what it is like to live without that and by the Government and Laws of God. Do we know whatever else God has in mind for those physical humans and that eighth day? Is this “eighth day” just symbolism, or is it rightly considered an eighth day in time? Let us give a quick look at that as we close this study; we have already seen the passage from Peter on this but let us now read Ps 90:4 from the ASV. “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” It is clear that Scripture indicates God has set this in motion as a time frame for what we find to be His plan & purpose for man, recorded in various ways all through the Bible. But is there any indication of anything to come after this time frame given?
Note this in Rom 8:20-23 “For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (Would this not also include the children brought into the God Family in the 8th day and after 7,000 years have elapsed?) V.22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, (This should actually be “son-ship”) the redemption of our body.” (However, we have seen that we as first fruits are not the only ones to be redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of all past sins, but that applies to the whole human race who are willing and come to this knowledge in their own time order.)
There may not even really be an end to the “plan of God”, as God is an eternal being and we will be also, but maybe (maybe??) the plan for any use of physical humans will come to an end after the judgment period. However, can we even know that for sure? What Scripture says this and do we now have a need to know? We certainly should not limit God’s plan to 7,000 years when it is so obvious that it is longer than that and includes a time for judgment called the eighth day. Just as sure as the sunset ends one day and another begins with the very next second on the clock, even if the judgment period is only a hundred years long, as previously speculated, for all of the dead from Adam on to the return of Christ—it is still not in the 7,000 years that ends before the judgment of billions of these human beings even begins! These have not had their chance at salvation within the 7,000 years, as they were never even called. The DAY OF JUDGMENT is in the EIGHTH DAY and then whatever else comes after that.
I will conclude with this last passage for you to think on; Eph. 3:20-21 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (KJV & NKJ—other translations say forever and ever.)
